Mackay Marina Village & Shipyard

Mackay Marina is a premier boating destination on Queensland’s tropical coast, ideally positioned as the southern gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Located at Mackay Harbour with direct access to the Coral Sea, the marina provides a convenient base for cruising the Whitsundays, exploring the Queensland coast or preparing for longer offshore passages.

Designed to accommodate everything from recreational boats and multihulls to commercial vessels and superyachts, Mackay Marina offers extensive floating berthing with all-tide access. Dedicated facilities include purpose-built multihull berths and superyacht berths capable of accommodating vessels up to 55 metres, with deep-water access and high-capacity shore power available for larger vessels.

The marina is also an International Clearance Port, with Australian Border Force and biosecurity services available on site, making it particularly convenient for international vessels entering or departing Australia.

Boaters have access to a comprehensive range of facilities including potable water, shore power, 24-hour fuel, secure parking, showers and bathrooms, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, chandlery services and secure swipe-card access. A full-service shipyard is located within the marina precinct, offering a 65-tonne travel lift, maintenance and refit facilities and access to specialist marine trades.

Beyond the berths, Mackay Marina Village offers waterfront dining, accommodation, retail and other services within the marina precinct. With its combination of modern boating infrastructure, superyacht facilities and convenient access to the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef, Mackay Marina is well suited to short stays, extended cruising and long-term berthing on the Queensland coast.
