Recognised as the premier home of superyachts in the South Pacific, Silo Marina offers ten berths suitable for vessels up to 116 metres in length. All pontoons are fully gated, with keypad security and 24-hour CCTV monitoring. Vessels arriving in New Zealand must comply with strict biosecurity regulations to prevent the introduction of pests and diseases. Most recreational vessels require full biosecurity clearance, which includes an inspection by an officer from the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). Once full clearance is granted, vessels may cruise freely in New Zealand waters and remain in the country for more than 20 days. Your initial port of entry into New Zealand must be an approved “place of first arrival” (POFA), authorised to receive overseas yachts and recreational vessels. In Auckland, Westhaven Marina, Viaduct Marina, and Silo Marina are the only marinas able to provide customs clearance for pre-arranged vessels. Westhaven Marina can process vessels up to 24 metres in length, while Viaduct and Silo marinas can accommodate vessels over 24 metres. To complete customs and MPI clearance at any of these marinas, you must first secure a berth and then arrange bookings directly with Customs and MPI in advance. Applicable service charges apply.
