At the Port Arthur Yacht Club, the mission is to advocate adult and youth sailing, cruising, and one-design racing for both adults and youth alike. The club offers a close, family-like atmosphere filled with passionate sailors and members who are always willing to lend a helping hand while enjoying time on and off the water. Please note that the club does not manage the marina; Pleasure Island Marina is owned and operated by the City of Port Arthur.
As a member of Port Arthur Yacht Club, individuals have access to exclusive monthly events, discounts at local businesses, and opportunities to connect with like-minded people who share an interest in sailing and boating, all while supporting a thriving community of enthusiasts. Founded in 1965, the club has been a staple in the Port Arthur, Texas community, working to keep the art of sailing alive in Southeast Texas while fostering a strong family atmosphere and providing local youth with the life-changing skill of sailing.
